Three ways we supply PU
Most customers come to us for a material. They stay because the formulation, the machine settings and the site conditions all have to agree with each other.
Korean PU products
Polyols, isocyanates, prepolymers and finished systems sourced directly from established Korean producers, with consistent batch quality and documented specifications.
Customized PU systems
Formulations adjusted to your density, reactivity, fire class and climate — developed with the system house and validated against your own line.
Technical solutions
Application support from trial through to production: dosing and mix ratios, processing windows, troubleshooting and operator training.
Major products
Base chemicals and finished systems, supplied either as standard grades or formulated to your specification with the system house.
Isocyanate
MDI and TDI grades for rigid, flexible and CASE work, supplied to the reactivity and functionality your process is built around.
Polyol
Polyether and polyester polyols, straight or pre-blended with catalyst, surfactant and blowing agent as a ready A-side.
Customized systems from Korean system houses
Rigid, flexible and CASE systems developed with the producer against your target density, reactivity, fire class and site conditions.
Specialty products
PU duct board, 1K canned foam, blowing agents and SPS Technology, alongside other lines we bring in on request.
The PU value chain
Polyurethane starts as three petrochemical feedstocks and ends as foam, moulded parts, insulation or coatings. Select any stage to trace where it leads.
Three feedstocks, four families of product
Propylene becomes propylene oxide and then polyol. Benzene and toluene become MDI and TDI. A system house blends the polyol side into a finished formulation, and the isocyanate meets it at the machine. KHUNI’S supplies at every green stage — polyol, MDI, TDI and complete systems.
Select a stage to highlight what it feeds.
Who we work with
Our material comes from established producers and system houses in Korea and abroad, which is what keeps batch quality and technical data consistent.
- BASF
- U1 Platform
- SKC Soo Kyung Chemical
- SPS Technology
- PU Core
- Samsung Polymer
- Daejin P&C
Where our systems are used
The same chemistry behaves differently in a cold store, a pipeline trench and a moulding press. We match the system to the job rather than the other way around.
Construction
- Rigid insulation panels

Why work through KHUNI’S
We sit between Korean system houses and the sites that use their material, so both sides get answers from someone who understands the other.
-
Direct Korean sourcing
Established relationships with producers and system houses, so pricing, lead times and technical data come from the source.
-
Formulation, not just supply
Where a standard grade does not fit, we take your requirement back to the system house and work through the adjustment with them.
-
Support on the line
Trials, commissioning and problem-solving with your team, in your conditions, using your equipment.
-
Documentation that holds up
Technical data sheets, safety data sheets and test reports prepared for the approvals your project actually has to pass.
Common questions about PU sourcing
Short answers to what buyers usually ask before a first trial.
What is a polyurethane (PU) system?
A matched pair of components — a polyol blend and an isocyanate — formulated to react together at a set ratio. The blend decides density, reactivity, strength, fire performance and how the material behaves while you process it.
Why source polyurethane from Korea?
Korean producers and system houses give consistent batch quality, well documented specifications and short lead times into Asian markets, plus real formulation development support when a standard grade will not do.
Can KHUNI’S develop a custom formulation?
Yes. Where an off-the-shelf grade misses your target density, reactivity, fire class or climate conditions, we take the requirement back to the system house, then validate the result on your own line.
Which industries do you supply?
Construction, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing and specialty work: insulation panels, spray foam, sealants and adhesives, pre-insulated pipe, cold chain, moulded parts, elastomers and coatings.
What is the difference between rigid and flexible PU foam?
Rigid foam is closed cell and holds its shape, which is why it is used for insulation and structural cores. Flexible foam is open cell and recovers after compression, which suits cushioning, seating and acoustic work. The difference comes from the polyol and the crosslink density, not from the process.
What does CASE mean in polyurethane?
Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers — the non-foam side of PU. These systems are usually solid or cast rather than blown, and they are specified on hardness, elongation, adhesion and chemical resistance.
What is a PU system house?
A formulator that blends polyol with catalyst, surfactant, flame retardant and blowing agent into a finished A-side, matched to an isocyanate. Buying a system rather than raw components means the reactivity and properties arrive pre-balanced.
Where does KHUNI’S operate?
Our headquarters is in Seoul with an office in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, and we hold a Singapore contact line for customers across Southeast Asia.
